As a nonprofit organization, donations and grants allow Sealaska Heritage to carry out its work. You can direct a donation to a specific program or department or make it in memory of a loved one or a clan. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Sealaska Heritage accepts certain gifts of property including art materials, such as legally acquired furs and animal products, as well as ethnographic items, such as weavings, carvings, or other pieces of art or historic items. Please contact david.russell-jensen@sealaska.com to discuss donating property.
Some items may be accepted for their historical value and housed in SHI’s Archives and Collections, while others may be utilized for the charitable benefit of Sealaska Heritage Institute.
